The Benefits of Hemp

Medicine

Hemp-based CBD is making its way into the healthcare industry as more states in the US are removing the ban on using hemp. The vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in hemp seeds can provide significant health benefits.

Hemp oil is rich in vitamin E and is useful for keeping your immune system functioning. It also acts as an antioxidant, helping reduce free radicals that cause cell damage in your body.

Super Food

Adding hemp oil to your diet may reduce your risk of heart problems in the future. Hemp seeds are rich in healthy fats, such as Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Both can reduce cholesterol, blood pressure, and triglycerides.

Hemp seeds are just a few plant foods considered “complete” proteins, containing all the essential amino acids. Also, your body can absorb hemp seed protein better than many other plant-based proteins.

Bio-plastic

Should the world embrace biodegradable plastic? Hemp plastic takes 3 to 6 months to decompose and is able to be recycled indefinitely. Because of these immense comparisons even gradually making the switch from conventional plastic to hemp plastic would have a lasting effect on landfills, ocean, and pollution. Construction- Hemp has been used in home construction for many years in Europe. Hempcrete is a bio-composite material, a mixture of hemp hurds, lime and sand. Because of its fast growth, structural blocks and panels made from hemp and hempcrete could become an alternative to more traditional cement blocks and timber framing. This could reduce pressure on forests worldwide and cut back on the estimated 15 billion trees cut down each year. Less deforestation would also lead to increased carbon capture, thus offering a natural way to combat global warming.
